I move to Minden Hills Ward 2 full-time in 1998 after falling in love with the area as a seasonal cottager on Black Lake. I became a local business owner in 1999 when I started my company specializing in home inspections and energy efficiency. I retired my business in May 2022.
With a background in housing issues and the environment, I served on many committees and Boards of Directors. Locally, before serving as a council member, I served on the Minden Library Committee, Timbersport Committee, the YWCA Board of Directors, Haliburton County Home Builders Association Board of Directors, and was a lake co-Stewart for our Black Lake Property Owners Association.
I ran for Ward 2 Councillor in 2014 and won, and was re-elected again in 2018.
I am a strong supporter of life-long learning with an appreciation and respect for differing perspectives and opinions. I am also a strong advocate of community participation and accountable decision-making.
I want to continue serving my community as your Ward 2 Councillor in the 2022 election. Voting for me is like hiring me as your representative on Council. If you want to know more about my professional and personal background along with the work I continue to do, then check out my resumé.
