Pam has served as your Municipal Councillor since 2014. Through experience, she knows how to get things done for you. (See the Testimonials.)
Pam listens and knows your issues. She understands how to work effectively with all levels of governance to address your concerns. Her personal background serves to improve your health, safety, and economic interests.
Pam comes to Council meetings prepared. Council meetings are held about 2 times per month. Pam is also a member of several Committees of Council that meet regularly. Over the past two years, due to COVID, Council meetings were held by ZOOM. Council is now meeting in person with the public and other participants still attending remotely. The meetings remain accessible online. Pam’s attendance over 8 years demonstrates her dedication to the community.
Before it became a cause for Municipal concern, Pam initiated the Climate Change Action Committee as a Committee of the Council.
Pam promoted and worked for the Dark Sky Light By-law developed through the research of the Climate Change Action Committee volunteers. See the presentation here. This is still pending before Council and has already been adopted by some Muskoka Municipalities.
Pam promoted a Social Procurement By-Law to support local businesses and the community. She was an advisor to the ULinks research project, commissioned by the Haliburton County/City of Kawartha Lakes Roundtable for Ending Poverty. This is still pending.
On your behalf, Pam would like to complete these initiatives and many more.
